We returned home from Yuma yesterday afternoon. We spent 2 nights on the road without any problems. We will spend the month of December in Washington and head back to Yuma after the New Year

Tiny Neighbors
The tiny little birds are at ease enough to sit on the chairs under the awning and even come in to the coach if the door is left open. They seem to have a favorite place to sit and watch and guard their feeder.
Lee and Elaine have left to go home for the holidays. We have a couple of weeks and we will be doing the same.
The weather is a little cooler, but still in the mid 70's. Very nice days with cooler nights.

Yuma update
We are almost finished setting up on the lot. We had dinner guest last night. Darlene and David came up and so did our friends Ken and Carol. Nice evening with dinner outside.
Tonight we took the ol' folks with us to a October fest at a new park called the Palms. Had dinner there and met up with all of the guys that have just came in yesterday.
I will take some pictures of the lot tomorrow and post for everyone to see.

YUMA

YUMA!! WE HAVE ARRIVED!! Check it out. We got into Yuma late this afternoon. We made good time from Flagstaff inspite of the windy conditions. The "old folks" were returning home from town and drove by the lot spotting us getting all set up. We joined them for a little dinner and then came back to the lot. Now the process begins to get everything in order for our extended stay. Stay tuned, as we will periodically update and add pictures during our stay.

From Vegas to Flagstaff
After celebrating Elaine's birthday Saturday we left Vegas Sunday morning and headed towards Flagstaff and the Meteor Crater. We have been visiting with our friend Frank and checking out the area around Flagstaff. We visited the old historic down town.
On the way back to the RV park we stopped and checked out the Walnut Canyon Monument. There are ancient cliff dwellings and and a very steep canyon.
Tomorrow we head south towards Yuma.

Las Vegas
We have been in Vegas at the Oasis RV park for Friday and Saturday. The park has over 900 sites with nice pools and grounds.
We helped celebrate Elaine's birthday with her and the family. Nice to see everyone come to town for the birthday fun.
No luck at the casinos but surprise enough they are busy with lots of people in town.

Today we went north to St.George and Cedar City Utah to do some sight seeing. We went by the Mountain Medow massacre site. Then along the Virgin river recreational park.
We gave it one last shot at winning at the casino. Still nothing to brag about. Maybe we will have better luck in Vegas. Headed there tomorrow.

Pioche
We left Wells Nevada this morning trying to outrun the wind and stormy weather. Arrived at Pioche Nevada in the early afternoon. Interesting little town. Combination of old silver mining town and ghost town. complete with its own "boot hill". Took a little tour of town and and a quick tour of a museum. Did a little laundry when the wind and rain came in after dark. The storm should be gone by morning hopefully when we get ready to leave.

JACKPOT!! was where we crossed into Nevada from Idaho after leaving Boise this morning. Yes, there is fresh snow, lots of it, on the hills surrounding State Hwy 93, our route south. We are settled for the night in Wells, NV. This is a good time to add our pics and continue our updates.
On the way

Yup!! We are on the way. Headed to Boise Idaho as our first stop. Over the river and through Chinook, Pass that is. What a lovely sight to see. The fall colors through the pass were bright and very nice. Once over the pass and down the other side in Naches, the yellows were brilliant. Mother Nature weaves a tapestry of greens, yellows and reds as Fall marches on. Will catch up after we leave Boise and add some pics!!
