This posting is for the missing opportunity along the way to update the blog.
We left Washington State Jan 4th, 2010 and headed south to warm and 
sunny Arizona. A little diversion along the way took us through the Joshua Tree National Park (from the Biblical prophet Joshua), across I-10 into the Box Canyon (looks a lot like the Badlands in the Dakotas), along the Salton Sea (a shallow landlocked sea in Southern California) and then eastward over the Imperial Sand Dunes (miles and miles of sand for quads, sand rails, etc...) and on into Yuma. An interesting perspective to say the least.
